Well well....In a twinkling of an eye...Lunar New Year has arrived. Very soon, February would be here and it's gonna be doomsday. Big sigh. Days have been passing like bullet-train. There's simply no time to think about a lot of things except for now----the much awaited CNY long holidays. :) So glad that I borrowed 3 DVDs from the Eng Dept to relieve my boredom at home. 1) The Butterfly Effect 2) The Crucible 3) A Beautiful Mind. Probably some updates on teaching. :) Finally had a taste of how it felt when students are not that responsive. *Thinks back about how my teacher felt back then.* Was English really that boring? Oops! I'm trying my best to inject creativity into the lessons. Let's hope hardwork pays off. Aha..from a student's point of view, the greater the amount of time a teacher wasted during a lesson, the better it is. Really hate it when the classroom's projector, visualiser or powerpoint fail me..especially when there are nice Geographic landform pictures to show my students. Taught them about the Earth's Crust and I gave them ferrero rochers as CNY goodies! Heh..hope they would relate the chocolate to what they've studied. ;) Feeling quite sorry for my dear 1/6 where they had to miss one period of Geog lesson with me. hmm..hopefully things will get better after new arrangements. Bringing students out for Badminton Tournaments has been an interesting experience. Hehe.. Finally getting the hang of umpiring. I only know how to umpire for the singles match. heh. Gets pretty boring when the competitiors kept stroking the shuttlecocks onto the net. Irritated when linesmen just couldn't decide whether the shuttlecock was in or out. And the decision had to be solely based on the umpire when we might have difficulty judging from afar. The first time when I felt really anxious for the C girls was during the match with SJC. We played 3 sets of games for both the first singles and first doubles. Luck didn't seem to be working in our favour as the hall was very much open to external interference. I truly felt for the girls when they lost the first set..the disappointment. Yet eventually, we emerged champion within the group! =) I was really proud of our girls! Keep the momentum going strong! Anyway, Happy Chinese New Year to all! May the year of the Dog bring peace and prosperity. Cheers~
