Hmmm..here's an update of the happenings last week. =) Went to TJC to support their chinese drama performance..Coincidentally, met up with my TJ friends and ex-classmates back in Anderson.. Most importantly, it was a "small reunion" for the participants of the LEP Taiwan Immersion Programme last Dec! That was really a pleasant surprise! Well.. The performance was mediocre, slightly refreshing (the 3rd show had beautiful settings of a classy cafe). Images of huang cheng flashed back several times as we watched the 3 shows. The xie mu was really similar..but less organised. Heh. I clapped really really loud for the makeup cum costumes group leader! Then those people were telling me that I resemble one of the main characters for the 2rd show (Ah Qi). It was hilarious as I thought she looked better than me onstage than close-up view. Was quite disappointed when I realised we didn't really resemble each other when I saw her personally. (All thanks to Justin and gang who pulled her over!) -laughs- Oh yeah..the new make up leaders have been chosen..It was really a tough decision. Having considered numerous factors (perhaps too many), we were swayed many many times. In the end the baton was passed to Georgia and Weilong! Cheerios! Ling Yun's our new treasurer! As for Saturday..ponned Sports Day! Hehe..as usual. (I'm reminded of the day when more than half the class ponned Council Elections on Friday's 1st 4 periods and we were caught! Sad case isn't it! It was memorable..at least we did CS together! haha) I'm so glad I did so..went to support xiao pin competition at the Teochew Building! The glaring technical faults were a tad too disappointing and frustrating. In spite of that, I truly enjoyed CCK's performance. Use of neon lights in a marine setting was absolutely enchanting! Heh..we emerged champion! mOooO! Cows rock! Really happy for the juniors. =) Felt that the theme was abstract and would definitely stir up extreme responses. Either you know how to appreciate or you don't. Suppose the judges do have a penchant for abstract stuff. It was akin to an events marathon. Went to watch Musical Soiree that night. Brought back wonderful memories once again. (Drama:At the Crossroads) Though I was really disappointed with not having a drama performance, nonetheless, the skit was engaging. Wilbur was corny, to say the least. haha. Personally, I prefer last year's, not because I was involved. But rather Guitar and Harmonica can never go solo successfully in order to achieve maximum appeal. That's to say..they've got to complement each other in many ways. Ah..anyway I really like the 73.2 performance! 73 rawks! Also..the variations of Romance De Amor and many other pop and classical songs. =) Cheers to Scintillate!
I realise I'm actually not that nice a person. Nice? This word has been overused millions of times. And yet, at times, there's just NO other appropriate word to describe this person. He/She is simply nice. Just plain nice. Get what I mean? Hmm..no one is perfect. I've heard it lots of times. Flaws..everyone has them. It's a matter of finding a soulmate who's able to complement your qualities and bring out a better person in you. Just like a cuboidal figure, people have different facets. In different circumstances, a different personality trait becomes dominant over another. However, this may not be the real him/her. Yet..very often, people take things at face value. They are too quick to judge. Some even jump at the chance to criticise and be skeptical about the things you do. Life is complex. Everyone is hidden behind a protective shell. (That's a nice way of saying people are superficial) I don't deny even the " goodiest-2-shoe" has a slight tendency to be superficial. That's human nature after all. But sometimes, some people simply overdo it. Overtime, it gets pretty disturbing. Oh well, it's better to turn a blind eye. That way, I may just live longer.
