A dReAm-CoMe-TrUe. *Never cry because it's over; Smile because it happened*
That's what I can say about Huang Cheng 2005. 8 to 9 months of slogging...preparations...hardwork...sweat and tears. Everything ended on 19th March. The reason why I delayed blogging was because I knew I would be terribly emotional if I blogged immediately after Huang Cheng. It really felt like a dream. 3 months with the juniors, 3 months at B103 once again, another 3 months with Mavis and Wenting. Most importantly, the B block was abuzz with life the whole of these 3 months. The only regret I had was not spending enough time with the juniors at the VT..partly due to the fact that I had to be away at the emcees' room making up for them. Nevertheless...the time spent together stocking up and snacking on junk food at our room, playing poker cards, dolling up their hair, designing huazhuang pullover with fabric paints...rushing them to make up for the actors..always being the first group to reach the basement for meals...chit-chatting sessions...all of them..shall remain as the most beautiful memories. The stayover was memorable..the state of self-denial we were all in...4am (pm) time to start work! Someday...We've just got to wake up from this dream...each one of us continuing with our very own journeys in life... I'm really feeling terribly sad for those who were posted out of Hwa Chong. Initially had thought that all were safe. Guess life is that unpredictable. Nevertheless..I'm contented and glad that our paths did cross after all. (Especially to Yanwen: Your sms struck me deeply. True..it's impossible to let go. Take care dearest..hope to see you at Xiao Huang Cheng!) We are all suffering from PhD..I suppose..Post-huangcheng Depression? Maybe reality will sink in once Block Tests end and there's no place to linger around anymore.
Many many thanks to dearMavis! (Diva!).It was U who made my life in Huang Cheng complete. The numerous months spent through "thick-and-thin". Though we didn't "survive" the camp at Esplanade Park..it was unforgettable. It was you who made me stronger..emotionally. Thanks dear!
Loads of gratitude to dearWenting! Once again..the feeling of stepping onto the stage of VT for xiemu was unbearably emotional. Thanks for the support and being there whenever we need U! -hugs!- To my 16 darlings in huazhuang...hopefully these 3 months had been enjoyable. Probably you guys would miss the times hunting for people to draw on...the times spent practising make up on each other...the times when Mavis and I sacrificed our faces to be drawn on...or perhaps just those moments of slacking at B103. Love you all!
To dear Justin and Michelle (emcees)...Those were the days when we wrecked "havoc" at the Star-dressing Room. Thanks for tolerating with my nonsense. (Prob you've got to thank me for providing entertainment!) Had a whale of a time "attacking" Jus with our 4 vs 1 GIRL POWER! -laughs- Hope you didn't mind! Take care dearies. Emcees rock!
And many many thanks to all others who made my months in Huang Cheng fruitful and happy!
Soon Kiat + Jiaxin: It's been an arduous journey since the end of Huang Cheng 2004. A miracle came true! Siok + Lala: Thanks for taking your emcees "in hand". -laughs- Xin Yu + Jinx & Alice + Kailing: Thanks so much for coming down to B103 to learn make-up for the extras! Though in the end...we didn't really need the extra help, still appreciate your willingness to learn! =) Hailing: My dear SM..thanks for being so cooperative whenever there's full run and checking of actors' make-up. Wanyi+Jessie: Your understandings throughout these months are deeply appreciated! Thanks.. Milly+Chan Foon+Hoi Fai: Yay! Tickets sales rock! Though there were some blunders here and there with the orders..you guys rock!
Huang Cheng is SHORT. That's what makes it memorable.
