I'm deeply saddened by the demise of Winson...an ex-schoolmate from Townsville Primary class of 6E. Though we were mere acquaintance, the fact that he lost his battle to blood cancer sounds unimaginable. What's more, I haven't heard about him for the past 6 years since graduation and such tragedy struck.. life is really unpredictable...losing one's freedom to life and the privilege to enjoy life at 18 is depressing. Wish to send my condolences to his family...he'll always be remembered.
The internal overall review for Huang Cheng on Thursday regarding preparation works during the 1st 3 months brought out some of the common flaws and problems that were bound to exist in any organisation. A few matters were thrashed out inexplicitly while some expressed unhappiness openly. Kind of awkward for some, I would say. We talked about how the next batch can actually further improve on our present problematic situations..sounds easy? Afterall, just throwing suggestions to the next batch is easy when no form of execution on our part is necessary. Suppose that went on in many's minds. Since the day I was elected as make-up leader last year...I had "ambitious" dreams of eliminating the unwillingness and troublesome nature of hunting for others to make up on. To have some kind of rubbery face mask (akin to human skin) which the members could practise on as and when they like. Then realised this would never be feasible, by simply taking into account the high costs that would be incurred. This year..we realised that many juniors expressed unwillingness when they were supposed to make-up on each other "as a form of practice". Many got away by claiming they had skin allergy problems..which I could empathise with..But if everyone goes about saying that they had skin allergy problems, who's gonna be drawn on? It gets even more trying when they hunt for other group members..as they have totally no obligation to comply. The truth finally daunted upon us when we realised the spirit of sacrificing for one another is dwindling...Maybe it was our fault but there was really nothing we can do about it.. If we were to exert force, many would scramble and flee. That was truly the last thing we wanted.

It's not that chocolates are a substitute for love. Love is a substitute for chocolate. Chocolate is, let's face it, far more reliable than a man. ~Miranda Ingram
