Happy Belated CHILDREN'S DAY to all out there who strongly believe that they are still young at heart. Hehe.. Anyway, our self-declared "holiday" was spent at a KTV lounge. For most of us, that was our very first time there. Hmm..to begin with, that place was a tad too shady-looking. I had this "ominous" feeling even before we entered that place. Heh. We had a 4h heart-felt singing session and finally when the bill came...I guess not many were in the mood to sing. Like what XY said, it's always better to have a gang of more than 10 when patronizing such "adultish" places. We felt kind of cheated when we realised that we overlooked some small print on the menu...Ah well..it's been an invaluable lesson learnt!
It seems like our world has been constantly plagued with disasters, calamities and fears. The Bali Bombings have striked again, after a seemingly peaceful 3 years. Was it a form of protest against the oil hike? Or was it the "JI showing that they are a strong force to be reckoned with?" (By S.T.) Terror seems to be everywhere, no one is really free from it. The very thought that anyone, anywhere under the sun can be a vulnerable victim to these inhuman actions is indeed horrifying. I truly wonder how a country like Indonesia can ever raise herself from this abyss of terror and fear, with her lucrative tourist destinations being constantly wrecked by man-made forces. It sure is an arduous task of reconstruction, not just the infrastructure, but also the deeply-entrenched fears in the people's hearts. Just like how Hurricane Katrina and Rita wreaked havoc across New Orleans, the Bali Bombings have shown how unpredictable life is, and has always been. All these disasters, whether man-made or natural, have started to darken life's outlook. As a bystander, we can only look on with anguish. -peace-

It's not that chocolates are a substitute for love. Love is a substitute for chocolate. Chocolate is, let's face it, far more reliable than a man. ~Miranda Ingram

"There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who love chocolate, and communists."
